Remote hamlet gets internet beamed by Elon Musk's satellites

<p>One of the two places chosen for Elon Musk's project to receive free internet for a year is the hamlet of Sotomo, 1000kms south of the capital Santiago, Chile. Accessible only by boat, it will receive internet beamed through Musk's Starlink satellites. Signal will be received by a satellite dish and transmitted through WiFi to local devices. It is a significant upgrade on the local patchy mobile data.</p>
