Salesforce Cut Hundreds Of Employees
<p>Salesforce, a supplier of cloud-based CRM software, is the most recent technology business to announce widespread layoffs, affecting at least hundreds of its 73,000 employees. With the company's second-quarter revenue increasing 22% year over year, Salesforce has had a very prosperous year financially. Since activist hedge fund Starboard Value acquired a stake in the firm last month, the company has been under pressure to reduce costs.</p>
