Sea Ltd discontinues activities in various Latam nations, reduces workforce at Free Fire in Shanghai

<p>Shopee, a division of Sea Ltd&#39;s e-commerce business, will stop doing business in Mexico and Chile and leave Argentina. Many employees in Shanghai will be let off by the company&#39;s Garena gaming division. Sea has been cutting positions across all of its models recently after reporting a nearly $1B quarterly loss in the April-June quarter. It will let go of dozens of local staff while retaining cross-border activities in Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.</p>
