Silicon Synergy: Google Teams Up with Marvell for Custom AI Chips

Google has partnered with Marvell Technology to co-develop customized AI chips, strengthening its cloud infrastructure and reducing reliance on third-party silicon. As part of the strategic agreement, Google secured an option to acquire a $12.2 billion equity stake in Marvell. The deal aims to accelerate custom silicon innovation, improve energy efficiency, and scale next-generation AI workloads across Google’s data centers.
