Smaller UPI Players Gain Market Share as PhonePe and Google Pay's Growth Slows
Smaller UPI players like Navi, Super.Money, and BHIM have seen their transaction volumes surge by 50–100% over the past six months, challenging the dominance of PhonePe and Google Pay. Navi processed approximately 500 million transactions in August, while Super.Money handled around 250 million. In contrast, PhonePe and Google Pay's combined market share declined to 80% in August from 85% a year ago, indicating increased competition in the UPI space.
