Smartphone shipments in 2023 to remain flat amid global slowdown

<p>India&#39;s smartphone shipments fell 9% to 152 million units in 2022, according to Counterpoint Research. Smartphone shipments are on the decline since the quarter ended December, 2021. Consumer smartphone shipments will decline through 2023, according to IDC analysts. This will be fuelled by brands struggling to sell 4G devices above ₹10k currently. The industry does not expect to see consumer demand recovering until the market sees an influx of affordable 5G phones.</p>
