SpAItial Raises $13M to Pioneer Text-to-3D AI Models for Immersive Virtual Worlds

Matthias Niessner, a leading European AI researcher and co-founder of Synthesia, has launched SpAItial, a startup aiming to develop AI models that generate interactive 3D environments from text prompts. The company secured a $13 million seed round led by Earlybird Venture Capital, with participation from Speedinvest and notable angels. SpAItial's team includes former experts from Google and Meta, positioning it to compete in the emerging market of photorealistic 3D AI models.
