Spotify Hikes Prices with New Features in Toward 1 Billion Users Goal
Spotify plans to boost subscription fees as part of its strategy to fund new feature rollouts and push toward one billion users, according to Financial Times citing Co-President Alex Norström. Beginning in September, premium plan prices will rise from €10.99 to €11.99 across regions including South Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. The company calls pricing updates a key business tool, which helped it secure its first annual profit last year.
