Star-Bound Security: OHB Secures €1 Billion EU Satellite Deal

German satellite manufacturer OHB has signed a major contract worth nearly €1 billion ($1.17 billion) with European satellite operator SES. Under the agreement, OHB will develop and manufacture 18 medium-Earth-orbit (MEO) satellite platforms. These platforms will serve as a foundational element of the EU's flagship IRIS² constellation, designed to provide resilient, high-security communications across Europe.
