Sterlite Power acquires 64.98% stake in MTCIL for fiber network in Maharashtra

<p>Sterlite Power has acquired a 64.98% stake in Maharashtra Transmission Communication Infrastructure Limited (MTCIL). It is a joint venture between Sterlite Technologies Limited and Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL). Sterlite Technologies Limited sold this ownership stake to Sterlite Power (STL). MTCIL operates a 3,162 km fibre network in Maharashtra, supplying telcos, ISPs, and data centres through 35 co-locations.</p>
