Advanced battery maker Sila Nanotechnologies secured a conditional $1.4 billion loan commitment from the U.S. Pentagon’s Office of Strategic Capital. The funding will expand silicon-carbon anode and lithium-ion battery manufacturing at its Moses Lake, Washington facility, aiming to reduce reliance on foreign supply chains and bolster U.S. technology sovereignty across critical defense, drone, and aerospace sectors.
