Taiwan's Moment in India Could Result in Stronger Manufacturing Ties
<p>Taiwan has redoubled its efforts to strengthen its business ties with India. This occurs in the midst of escalating tensions with China and a US-led initiative to look at alternatives to Beijing in setting up manufacturing for goods ranging from cellphones to airplanes. A group from Taiwan headed by Chern-Chyi Chen, the deputy minister of financial affairs, landed in Delhi on Wednesday and is "scheduled to go to significant cities, including Chennai."</p>
