Tata Electronics Appoints Intel Veteran Tim McIntosh to Lead Assam Chip Assembly Plant

Tata Electronics has appointed Tim McIntosh, a 34-year Intel veteran, as Vice President and Head of Operations and Manufacturing Excellence for Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test (TSAT). McIntosh will oversee the development of TSAT's upcoming ₹27,000 crore semiconductor assembly and test facility in Morigaon, Assam. To bolster its talent pool, Tata is conducting hiring drives in Malaysia and Singapore, tapping into regions with significant expertise in chip packaging and testing services.
