U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick raised urgent concerns with Dutch tech giant ASML, alleging that one of its highly restricted Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) chipmaking machines may have been smuggled into China. ASML strongly rejected the claims, noting that these school-bus-sized, 180-ton systems require constant connectivity and specialized maintenance, making an undetected relocation virtually impossible.
