Thales of France establishes a Google-powered cloud services company

<p>In collaboration with Google, the French defence corporation Thales has founded a new company called S3NS to provide state-approved cloud computing services for the storing of some of the nation's most sensitive data. The partnership between Thales and the Alphabet business, which was finalised last year, was the outcome of a government initiative whereby France acknowledged the US's technological dominance.</p>
