Intel has launched a massive $5.7 billion (5 billion euros) capital project to upgrade its semiconductor campus in Leixlip, Ireland. Driven by explosive global demand for AI and high-performance computing, the investment focuses on boosting production of cutting-edge Intel 3 silicon wafers and server processors. Scheduled for completion by late 2027, the expansion will advance local R&D and add hundreds of high-tech jobs.
