Twitter Starts Removing Blue Verification Badges for Users Who Don't Pay

Twitter has started removing blue verification badges from users who have not complied with the new verification policy that requires users to update their profiles with a verified phone number and confirm their email addresses. The blue checkmark is an indication of authenticity and was previously awarded to verified accounts for free. However, Twitter has now introduced a paid option called "Twitter Blue" for users who want to retain their verification status.
