Uber and WeRide Launch Driverless Robotaxis in Abu Dhabi
Uber Technologies, in partnership with Chinese autonomous firm WeRide, has rolled out fully driverless robotaxis in Abu Dhabi. This makes the city the first outside the US to host completely autonomous operations on Uber's platform. Passengers requesting an UberX or Uber Comfort ride can now be matched with a WeRide robotaxi.
