UK Regulator Targets Apple and Google Mobile Dominance
Britain's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has given Google and Apple "strategic market status" over their control of the mobile ecosystem. This designation does not imply wrongdoing but grants the UK watchdog powers to impose targeted measures. The goal is to open up competition and ensure fairer treatment for consumers and businesses against the duopoly.
