U.S. and Allies Seize $1 Million in Bitcoin, Servers from Russian BlackSuit Ransomware Gang

In a coordinated global crackdown on July 24, U.S. authorities working with Canada, Germany, Ireland, France, the U.K., and others confiscated four servers, nine domains, and approximately $1 million in Bitcoin from the Russian-linked BlackSuit (a.k.a. Royal) ransomware group. The gang, notorious for demanding over $500 million in ransoms and targeting critical infrastructure, has been significantly disrupted by this operation.
