U.S. Court Orders NSO Group to Cease Targeting WhatsApp, Slashes Damages to $4 Million
A U.S. District Court has mandated that Israeli spyware firm NSO Group permanently cease its efforts to infiltrate Meta's WhatsApp platform. The court also reduced the punitive damages owed to Meta from $167 million to $4 million. NSO, known for its Pegasus spyware, had exploited software vulnerabilities to surveil users.
