US Music Streaming Subscriptions Surpass 100 Million, Boosting Industry Revenue

In 2024, U.S. music streaming services exceeded 100 million subscribers, contributing to a record-high revenue of $14.9 billion, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This 4% increase from the previous year underscores the growing dominance of streaming, which now accounts for 84% of total music revenue. Physical media also saw growth, with vinyl sales rising 7% to $1.4 billion, outselling CDs for the third consecutive year.
