US, Taiwan to discuss new chips bill next month

<p>United States has welcomed investments from Taiwan's TSMC and GlobalWafers Co. and has encouraged foreign tech companies to produce in the nation. Next month, the US will debate new US legislation intended to support the US semiconductor industry with Taiwan. The Chips and Science Act, which authorized $52B in government subsidies for US semiconductor production and research, was signed into law by US President Joe Biden last month.</p>
