Brazil has unveiled a 2.3 billion reais ($444 million) plan to boost its AI ecosystem while preserving national sovereignty. To avoid reliance on a single superpower, the government is splitting major infrastructure projects between Chinese tech giants Huawei and iFlytek in Rio de Janeiro, while opening a separate high-power supercomputer project expected to select US-based Nvidia.
