WhatsApp, FB not entitled to privacy claims, Centre tells HC

<p>The centre, in an affidavit, has told the Delhi High Court that companies like Facebook and WhatsApp, which monetize their user's personal data, are not entitled to claim they protect privacy. The centre opposed the companies petition challenging the new IT Rules, saying that WhatsApp has already violated the fundamental rights of citizens by denying them dispute resolution in India. The new guidelines will force it to break end-to-end encryption, claims WhatsApp.<br />
