World Bank, African based tech group to establish data centers in region

<p>The World Bank's IFC partners with Liquid Intelligent technologies to establish data centers and provide fiber-optic connections on the continent. As the African population is urbanising, data consumption is likely to increase. There's also a rat race between China's Huawei and USA's Amazon and Microsoft to set up massive data centers in the continent. Following the investment of IFC in February '21, the total issuance raised totals up to $620M.<br />
