YouTube Settles Trump Lawsuit for $22 Million; Funds to Support White House Ballroom Project

YouTube has agreed to pay $22 million to settle a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump over his account suspension following the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack. The settlement, announced on September 29, 2025, is the latest in a series of legal challenges Trump has pursued against major tech platforms. The funds will be directed to a White House construction project through the nonprofit Trust for the National Mall.
