YouTube Tests Requiring Premium Subscription For 4K Videos

<p>A YouTube Premium membership is required to see YouTube's 4K videos as part of a test. Some users have reported seeing messages restricting the viewing of 2160p definition video in recent weeks and designating it as a premium feature. The new limits were a result of an experiment to better understand the feature preferences of Premium and non-Premium users.</p>
