Google Pauses Development of Tablets, Smart Rings, Flip Phones & Glasses
Google confirmed it's not pursuing development of key devices such as tablets (including the Pixel Tablet 2), smart rings, flip-style phones, or consumer smart glasses. Prototype smart glasses remain "TBD," while the company shifts focus toward XR platforms and enabling third-party innovation rather than building proprietary hardware. Google continues to prioritize AI-focused Pixel devices like the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel Watch 4.
