Mizoram Launches First-ever Health ATMs Using IoT to Bridge Rural-Urban Healthcare Divide
Mizoram introduced its first Health ATMs at Civil Hospital Lunglei and PHC Lungsen under the “Healthy Lunglei Initiative.” The kiosks, unveiled by Health Minister Lalrinpuii, offer free access to 35 health metrics—including blood pressure, sugar levels, BMI, ECG—and instantly deliver digital reports to users’ mobile phones through IoT technology. Backed by CSR partners MVS India, ABCI Infrastructures, and BRN, the project bridges healthcare access gaps in rural areas.
