Centre Writes to Meta Concerning WhatsApp Outage and Other Issues

<p>The central government has questioned Meta about the causes of Tuesday's two-hour WhatsApp outage. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is interested in learning if the outage was caused by an internal error or a cyberattack. The ministry has additionally requested that the platform work with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (Cert-In) to investigate if any "unwanted" cyber attacks occurred during the outage.</p>
