As China fights Covid once more, global economy faces supply disruption

<p>The global economy is bracing for more disruption as China works to contain its worst Covid-19 outbreak since the pandemic began. If China fails to contain the spread of omicron, further movement restrictions will derail the economy's start to the year, undermining a key pillar of global growth. As a global manufacturer, any disruptions in exports that result in shortages could drive up international inflation just as central banks begin raising interest rates.</p>
