Beyond Borders: Chinese AI CEO Challenges Elon Musk’s Timeline

In a rare clash on X, Tang Jie, CEO of top Chinese AI startup Zhipu, corrected Elon Musk regarding China’s AI capabilities. When Musk predicted it would take until Q1 2027 for China to rival Anthropic’s newly dropped Fable 5 model, Tang fired back, stating "won’t take that long." The exchange follows the release of Zhipu's GLM-5.2, making it the first Chinese model to land in the global top three.
