A New Mexico jury found Meta liable for deceptive practices, ruling that the tech giant misled users regarding Facebook’s data-sharing policies and privacy controls. Stemming from a lawsuit originally filed in 2021 over the Cambridge Analytica scandal, jurors concluded that millions of statements made to consumers were misleading.
