Google to Use Both Advanced Tech and Old Books to Treat Insect-Borne Diseases
<p>Google is developing new technology to fight insect-borne diseases using old datasets collected by Google Books along with a newly built sensory map for odours. This is possible given the recent scientific finding that a mosquito's sense of smell is similar to ours. The team's primary objective is to give computers olfactory sensibility. The US Department of Agriculture's pertinent WWII research was discovered by the researchers and utilised to create the technology.</p>
