Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales announced that artificial intelligence will not be permitted to edit articles directly due to untrustworthy and "very, very bad" AI hallucinations. While automated bots could help volunteer editors flag missed niche news, Wales emphasized that direct editing requires absolute accuracy.
