Making the CCI more agile by amending competition law

<p>The Union Cabinet approved the Competition (Amendment) Bill, 2022, and it would be introduced in the Monsoon Session of Parliament. According to the current statute, decisions must be made during meetings of the watchdog by a majority of three members. Single-member decision-making flexibility is probably only going to be used for adjudication, not for any of the regulator's other crucial tasks.</p>
