Musk scraps deal over Twitter whistleblower payment

<p>Elon Musk, claimed that Twitter Inc.'s decision to pay millions of dollars to the whistleblower it had sacked provides him with yet more reason to renegotiate his $44B purchase agreement for the social media company. Lawyers for Musk said in a letter addressed to Twitter that the company had broken the terms of the merger agreement by not getting his permission before paying Peiter Zatko and his attorneys $7.75M.</p>
