Ofcom Clamps Down: TikTok Probed Over Alleged Child Safety Failures

UK media regulator Ofcom has launched a formal investigation into TikTok to determine if the platform is failing to protect children from harmful content. Under scrutiny is whether TikTok accurately identifies underage users and has robust systems to block them from viewing dangerous material, coming just a month after the UK government banned social media for under-16s.
