OpenAI Forms Math Advisory Group as AI Solves 100+ Open Problems

OpenAI has created an independent advisory group at Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study to give mathematicians a voice in its AI-driven mathematical research. OpenAI says an internal model has resolved more than 100 previously open problems. The nine-member group will assess results and coordinate their release, but won’t have authority over the pace or direction of OpenAI’s research.
