Predator in the Code: Snap Sued Over 12-Year-Old’s Rape

The parents of a Missouri girl have sued Snap Inc., alleging its platform facilitated their daughter's rape at age 12. The lawsuit claims Snapchat’s "Quick Add" recommended the child to a 25-year-old predator, while "Snap Map" exposed her location without consent. The attacker, who posed as a teen, is serving 18 years. Snap stated it actively works to block bad actors.
