Scroll Control: TikTok Settles Landmark Youth Addiction Lawsuit Before Trial

TikTok has agreed in principle to settle a major California lawsuit brought by a 15-year-old boy who claims the app’s addictive design severely damaged his mental health. While TikTok and YouTube chose to settle, tech giants Meta and Snapchat are still headed to a July trial. The case is part of thousands of mounting lawsuits accusing platforms of intentionally hooking kids.
