Ten-year-old Taiwanese student Hsu Ting-wei won a gold medal and top invention award at the Silicon Valley International Festival. His "Novel Artificial Electronic Nose" pairs air sampling with AI odor recognition to detect chemical threats, drugs like fentanyl, or contraband behind airport X-ray scanners. His triumph contributed to Taiwan's record-breaking 24 gold medals at the festival.
