The "Zero" Chip Threat: Elon Musk Warns America Faces Memory Crisis

In a talk with JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, Elon Musk warned that the US faces a "catastrophic" crisis because it currently has zero high-volume computer memory manufacturing plants. Musk stated that upcoming domestic facilities won’t meet the massive data demands of advanced AI and robotics, which require trillions of bits per second. To bridge this critical infrastructure gap, Musk is building the "Terafab" project to support next-gen space systems and AI.
