US has begun antitrust review of Amazon's acquisition of vacuum maker iRobot

<p>The $1.7B acquisition of iRobot Corp. by Amazon.com is being investigated by the US Federal Trade Commission to determine whether it breaches antitrust regulations. The iRobot review by the US anti-trust commission is extensive and would cover both head-to-head competition. It could also determine whether the agreement would give Amazon an unjustified advantage in the connected device market and the retail sector as a whole.</p>
