Accenture plans to lay off 19,000 employees over the next 18 months

<p>Global professional services firm Accenture has announced its plans to lay off 19,000 workers globally over the next 18 months. The decision comes as part of the company's restructuring plans to move towards "the new normal," which will involve increased focus on cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation services. The announcement was made in Accenture's quarterly filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).</p>
