AI First, Salaries Second: Teradata Freezes Pay Hikes to Fund Tech Push

Teradata CEO Steve McMillan informed the company’s 5,100 employees that there will be no annual salary hikes for 2026. Breaking from the usual 2% to 4% increases, the budget is being reallocated to fund artificial intelligence talent and expertise as the company aims to "win in the market with AI." Employees will remain eligible for performance-based bonuses and equity shares despite the base pay freeze.
