Fintech firm Plaid layoffs 260 workers, 20% of workforce

<p>Plaid is dismissing 260 workers or 20% of the workforce. According to media sources, Plaid's engineering department would probably suffer significantly. At Plaid Labs, more than 1,100 employees have lost their jobs. The business recently disclosed its expansion into fraud protection, identification and income verification, and new tech for account funding and disbursements. </p>
