Freshworks Founder Girish Mathrubootham to step down after 15 years
Girish Mathrubootham, who founded Freshworks in 2010 and led its rise to a Nasdaq-listed SaaS powerhouse, will step down as Executive Chairman on December 1, 2025—concluding a 15-year leadership journey. He previously transitioned from CEO to Chairman in May 2024. Roxanne Austin, the lead independent director, will succeed him. Mathrubootham will now channel his efforts into his venture capital firm, Together Fund, supporting AI and startup ventures.
