Google Cuts Over 100 Design Roles to Prioritize AI and Cost Efficiency
Google has laid off more than 100 employees in design-related roles, especially within its Cloud division’s quantitative UX research and platform experience teams. The cuts reflect a broader restructuring to streamline operations and shift resources toward AI development and core priorities. Affected staff have been given time to find other roles internally.
